Everybody wishes they could be as beautiful as a princess, and it turns out that you can after all by following the same beauty techniques that the royal family follows. Princesses, at least outside of Disney movies, aren’t necessarily more naturally beautiful than ordinary people, they just have the money to access the best when it comes to beauty and glamor, as well as the expectation that they live up to a certain standard.

From the makeup techniques to the high quality products and even the facial exercises, the beauty secrets of the royals are no longer so secret, and many of them are accessible even to people who don’t have the massive budgets of Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton. Read on for four beauty tips to follow that are worthy of royalty.

Megan Markle’s Face Exercises

Doing exercises to tone your body is one thing, but if you want to look like Meghan Markle, you’ll have to follow her regimen of face exercises. Sounds ridiculous? Well, consider that your face is the part of you that is most widely seen, at least before people started wearing masks.

Markle swears by aesthetician Nicola Joss who works to “sculpt your face from the inside out,” and by that she means reps, not plastic surgery. What are those face reps? 15 rounds of smiling, which is more intense than it sounds. The results are immediate, and it is the perfect way to prepare for an event. According to Markle, her “cheekbones and jawline are waaaay more sculpted” whenever she does it.

Kate Middleton’s Three Step Eyeshadow

If you were the Duchess of Cambridge, you would have a world class makeup team doing your makeup, wouldn’t you? Kate Middleton does things differently though, and for her wedding she chose to do her own makeup. Sure, the makeup artist Hannah Martin was there to assist her, but Middleton wanted to do it herself, and she showcased her signature three step eyeshadow technique.

This technique does not just involve three steps, but also three shades. She begins with ivory, applying it all around, and she follows it up with Rockstar shade, though just on her lower lid. After that she applies Slate to the crease. This isn’t that hard to replicate, so give it a shot if you want to feel extra royal for a special occasion.

Megan Markle’s Favorite Blush

For Megan Markle, becoming the Duchess of Sussex didn’t exactly mean she had to up her beauty game. After all, she was a famous actress for many years prior, and being an actress means spending hours a day in a makeup chair while filming and before events. By the time she stepped into the role of royalty, she already had her beauty routine down pat, and this includes a favorite product of hers NARS Blush in Orgasm.

In an interview with Beauty Banter, she listed this as one of her top five must haves. The reason she loves it is because it gives the “perfect rosy flush tone that brightens the face.” At around $32 for .16oz, it certainly isn’t the cheapest makeup in the world, but it also isn’t exclusively for royals. It’s worth a try, especially if you want that patented Markle glow.

Kate Middleton’s Favorite Oil

Though Kate Middleton has yet to admit this publicly, it has been widely reported that one of her beauty essentials is Rosehip Oil from Trilogy. It is said that 80% of the oil consists of Omega 3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, which makes it an excellent product for anti-aging, hydration, and other skin benefits.

According to US Weekly, a source has said that Middleton “loves the effect it has on her skin” and “continues to use rosehip oil in her daily skincare regimen.” Of course, Kate surely has other beauty secrets, so don’t expect this to be a cure-all that will give you skin as smooth as hers. Still, it looks like a quality product that is an effective part of a skincare routine.
